Nonpareil marbled paper over boards, half bound with brown hard-grain morocco leather; raised bands on spine with gilt stamped titles; all edges marbled; marbled end papers; tissue-guarded frontispieces. Bright, clean, square covers and spines; vols 1 and 6 have small rubbed areas on front cover marbled paper; all volumes have some rubbing along tail edges; all tightly bound; all leather joints are sound without splits or cracking; clean interiors; leaves remain supple. Vols 1-3 are biographical; vol 4 is correspondence; vols 5-6 are speeches. All volumes have tables of contents.
