The sole UK printing published by Arthur Barker in 1933. The BOOK is in Very Good++ or better condition. A little creasing to the yapped edges with some light spotting to the front cover paper label. Number 172 of only 200 copies Signed by both the author and illustrator. Light spotting to the prelims and some of the page edges. Inscribed to the half-title by the illustrator to his fellow artist and Great Bardfield resident; 'Michael Rothenstein from John Aldridge, October 1947'. The ten full page wood engraved illustrations by Aldridge are very striking. A wonderful association copy. More images available on request. Ashton Rare Books welcomes direct contact.
