Original green cloth with gilt spine lettering, embossed design on spines, gilt emblems on front covers, publisher's monogram on rear covers, and blind rules on all covers;binding firm; some abrasion to crown and foot of spine; fading and bumping at lower corners; paper age-toned and foxed but very strong; unmarked except for signature of former owner on front end paper; damp stain in right margins of last 60 p. of volume, back end paper torn in half.
