About This Item
New York: G. P. Putnam's, 1869. Book. Fine. Cloth. Three volumes in duodecimo (12mo), kelly green cloth covered beveled boards with decorative gilt spine titles Top edges gilt. pp. 442, 438, 425. Each volume with frontispiece portrait engraving of Washington Irving with tissue guards in place. The Author's Revised Edition (Riverside Edition) These volumes are all very nicely preserved with very solid, bright gilt top edges, clear, undimisihed decorative gilt spine titles, fresh green cloth and bright, crisp, clean and unmarked interiors. All volumes so tight as to suggest that they are unread. The tissue guards are all uncreased, untorn and crisp, but each shows a touch of faint foxing with even less affecting the margins but NOT the images of the frontispieces. Volume 2 has a pea sized spot of fading/soil, else fine. No dust jackets. The set Very Near Fine..
