Smith, Elder & Co, 1883. First Edition. Three-Quarters Leather. Good/No Jacket. 2 Volumes with portrait and map. 3/4 leather & marbled covers with gilt. Top edge gilt Rubbed at spine edges and fraying at corners. Interior is clean with small bookplate on front endpaper. Endpapers marbled. Vol I - Title page separated & 1st few pages starting to separate at top otherwise tight. 536 pp, Vol II - tight, 654 pp. Front hinges on both are week and worn at cover.
