Newcastle upon Tyne; Mackenzie and Dent, 1826., 1826. Hard Cover. Provincial imprint. Small folio, pp. iv, 476. Lacking 1 of the 20 plates listed in Directions to the Binder at end, but with the addition of 2 plates not called for. Bound in full contemporary tree calf with gilt titles to maroon label to spine, gilt fillets, and gilt Greek key border to boards; all edges marbled. Boards lightly scuffed with minor rubbing to corners. Ffep partially detached at joint; minor worm damage to top edge of ffep, frontispiece and engraved title, and light stain to front paste-down and ffep at joint. Gift inscription dated 1830 to ffep; a little light scattered foxing; vertical crease to final leaf and rfep. A Very Good copy in a handsome binding. Rare provincial imprint from Newcastle upon Tyne, no copies on Copac or Worldcat. Heavyweight so a contribution towards increased postage costs will be requested for overseas delivery.
