About This Item
James Maclehose and Sons. Good+. 1899. Hardcover. A Good 1899 hardcover without dustjacket. Book is in aged and lightly soiled brown cloth-covered boards, rubbed and lightly bumped to the corners. The tanned spine, with dulled gilt lettering, is rubbed and bumped to the ends and has quite pronounced lean. Internally very good, no writing or stamps, with foxing to endpapers, toned and occasionally lightly foxed pages, top edge gilt, other rough-cut edges very tanned and soiled - the book is apparently unread as several of the pages remain uncut. A good, tight copy of a scarce original title. Contains coloured pull out map and photographic frontispiece. Carefully packaged and posted within 48 hours from our wee bookshop in Scotland. .
