Chicago and New York: Belford, Clarke & Company, 1888, First Edition. Logan served in the Mexican American War and later as a general in the US Civil War. He was a member of the US House of Representatives and later a member of the US Senate. In 1884 he was the unsuccessful Republican candidate for Vice President on the ticket with James Blaine. Condition: NOT a library book. Very good condition, with its impressed cover and firm binding. Clean interior. Re-backed with original spine piece as photographed.
