London: Chapman & Hall, 1893. Book. Near Fine. Hardcover. Signed & Inscribed By Authors. 1st Edition. Two volumes, 1270 pages indexed with numerous portraits, illustrations and maps. Both volumes have been rebound, retaining their original boards and backstrips. New endpapers and flyleafs. Except for the title pages (which have light foxing) the text pages are very clean with no marks. Inscribed "From the Authoress to F. F. Arbuthnot July 28th. 1893". Frederick Foster Arbuthnot was a wealthy friend of Richard and Isabel for many years. Isabel writes warmly of him on her & Richard's trip to Bombay. Book is protected in a custom cut clear mylar cover. All books are carefully wrapped and shipped in a box. Due to the heavy weight of the two volumes, international priority shipping will be at cost..
