Philadelphia: William D. Parrish. Fair. 1847. First Edition. Hardcover. Engraved Frontis; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 316 pages; 1847 William D. Parrish, Philadelphia. HC 1st edition bound in original cloth with decorative ruling in blind to boards and titles blocked in gilt at spine. Cloth fading; boards with corners bumped and cloth slightly rubbed through at extremities. Front free coated endpaper, free and page and most of the half-title page torn away. Front hinge partially split but holding. Lacks map at rear; tissue guarded engraved frontis present. Contents with scattered light to moderate foxing throughout. Fair to Good only, though with some basic restorations, easily improved. An important 1st person account of early Texas. .
