Previous owner's name blacked-out on front free endpaper; some light soiling and general wear. Very slight waviness in page margins, not affecting images. vii, 240 pages. Oblong. 8.5 x 11 inches. Pictorial history of Wellsboro (Tioga County), Pennsylvania covering the years 1880 to 1920. Includes a reproduction of the 1899 city directory (which denotes residents' occupation, employer, and addresses). A very thoughtfully produced boo showing early life in Wellsboro. Essential a picture book (photos are captioned) showing portraits, buildings, school and churches, streets, homes (some with interiors), businesses (some interiors as well), industry, farming, transportation, sports, civic life, recreation, and more.
