David Stacton (born Arthur Lionel Kingsley Evans, 1923 - 1968) was an American novelist, historian and poet. Time Magazine in 1963 named him one of the top ten new novelists, along with the likes of Joseph Heller, Bernard Malamud, Philip Roth, and John Updike. His earliest published works were poems, often betraying the influence of T.S. Eliot, which were published in American little magazines.
