The author was sent to the Pima Reservation in Arizona on a one-year writer-in- residence which became five years and new-found calling for Indian education. This the story of how one white man crossed the cultural divide and found old and new values, the determination of the human spirit, and ultimately, himself. The author brings the reader into the heart of the Indian world and tells how a balance is sometimes attained between the two worlds of the whites and the tribes. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
