The books are in very good condition, shelf rubbing present, two brown folios, frame of gilt lines with fleuronses in the angles and centerpiece on the sides. The first volume has some minor damage to the spine with an external area that has a small tear, the second volume has some small chips on the spine, both volumes have some external scratching on the cover and damage to their corners. Both volumes seem very clean and clear inside with only minor stains, text and images generally appear clean and clear throughout. The second volume appears to have one loose illustration. 'An Album on The War [The First World War] with illustrations produced from 1914-1921, this is an expanded edition from the earlier publication including previously unpublished documents and numerous reproductions in Colour, as well as text summaries of their context in history.' 1311 pages. 12 x 15.75 inches.
