About This Item

Indianapolis Indiana: Bobbs-Merrill Company, 1929. First Edition. . Hardcover. Very Good+/None Issued. VG+/1st ed./Signed. A really nice first edition, signed on the front free endpaper with a short inscription "To Rose Routts Leonard, with the love of the author--Wm Townsend" Lexington, KY 1929. Book is clean and firm in binding, has some light foxing, no writing or marking. There is an article attached by a paperclip nex to the author's inscription from 1929, and it has created some dark areas on the endpapers, but nothing unsightly. Several pages at the back are uncut. There are some great photos intersped throughout the book. 401 pages, bibliography and index. There is a great photo frontis of Lincoln as a young adult.
