London: Victor Gollancz, 1951. First edition. Cloth. Very Good/Very Good. 8" by 5". None. A first UK edition of this play by Edmund Wilson. Edmund Wilson (May 8, 1895 – June 12, 1972) was an American writer, literary and social critic, and noted man of letters. Wilson was interested in modern culture as a whole, and many of his writings go beyond the realm of pure literary criticism. His early works are heavily influenced by the ideas of Freud and Marx, reflecting his deep interest in their work. In a green cloth binding in a clipped dustwrapper in an acetate protective covering. Externally, smart with just minor shelfwear. Dustwrapper is smart with just minor edgewear. Spine is sunned. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean. There is a bookseller's label to the front pastedown and an ink inscription and stamp to the recto of front free end papers and the title-page. Very Good
