(Subject: World War II - General) As a 14 year-old English girl, the author was accidentally left behind in occupied France and imprisoned by the Germans. She was released to to study in Paris and inadvertently assisted the Resistance. She was betrayed and imprisoned in solitary confinement by the Gestapo for 5 months. Eventually she was re-united with her family in 1944. It was only after seeing her name in Trepper's account of the "Red Orchestra" that she realized what she had been involved in. Introduction by M R D Foot. Dustjacket edgetorn and rubbed. 2 large dents on board edge. Text unmarked other than slight browning.
