First Edition. Good+ HC, no DJs. Ex-library. 1st ed - 1845 (vols 1-3, series one), 1846 (vls 4-5, series two), 1847 (vols 6-7, series three). Blue-green, vertical rib-grain cloth over boards, gilt letters on spines. Covers are somewhat scuffed and lightly sunned on spines and at cover edges; vol 1 has stain on front cover; some fore corners are bumped; several vols have splits at spine ends; vol 1 has 3/4 inch split at spine head; all vols tightly bound; library stamp on each front pastedown and on some prelim pages; no other interior library matter and no exterior library marks; interiors clean but faint pencil erasures in few margins. 8vos, 4678 Pages.
