666 pages The Book contains a Narrative of the Most Interesting Events in the Career of each President; Thus Constituting a Graphic History of the United States. A Chapter was added showing the Hundred Years' Progress of the Republic. Contains steel cut illustrations of the presidents as well as wood engravings of the interesting scenes in their lives, together with illustrations of the centennial jubilee.
Revised Edition. Published after the death of Abbott in 1877 with a small note at end of page 4 by Russell Conwell. The volume is bound in yellow cloth covers with stamped gilt and black letter/ornamentation on the spine and front cover. The frontispiece depicts George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Andrew Jackson, and Andrew Johnson. It has small water stain in left corner.
