Hardcover. 4to. 27.5cm, The First Edition, 269p., the Limited Numbered and Signed edition of 1250 copies, this being #979, and Signed by Robert Haig-Brown, with 16 colour plates from paintings, and numerous illustrations from drawings and photographs, rear folding pocket map, bibliography, index, title page printed in brown and black, in the original beige & brown fine grain linen, gilt spine titles, gilt cover illustrations, in the original mylar wrapper in similar beige linen slipcase with the cover illustrations repeated on the upper and lower covers & title on similar label on the spine, small slight (4 cm) abrasion on the spine edge of the slipcase, fine condition.
