Recounts famous sealing captain's voyages including his journey with Robert Peary to discover the North Pole and many other Arctic excursions. Captain Bartlett was the captain of the "Karluk", which was the flagship of the Canadian Arctic Expedition of 1913–16. The expedition ended with the loss of the ship in the Arctic seas, and the subsequent deaths of nearly half her complement of 25. Tight binding. No chips, tears, creases.
