The only prints missing are the portrait of Prince Ferdinand of Brunswick, the map of Connecticut & Rhode Island, the plan of the city & fortifications of Louisbourgh, the map of New England & Nova Scotia, and the plan of the fort & bay of Frontenac. Among the 24 prints present are three foldout maps by the British cartographer Thomas Kitchin: 1) "A Chart of the English Channel with the Adjacent Coasts of England and France," 2) "A Map of Hispaniola or St. Domingo," and 3) "A Map of the Circle of Franconia" (hand-colored). Recent sympathetic rebinding in full bright tan leather. Pages and maps are clean and supple, with faint toning.. First Printing. Hardcover. Very Good.
