London: Darton and Co. , 1872. First edition. . Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. Five London Society annuals bound together in blue cloth, with an old paper label affixed to spine, handwritten in ink. 1866-1873 are labeled Christmas numbers; 1876 is labeled "1876 Summer" --- this one is a "holiday edition" - perhaps a summer holiday annual? A good number of ghostly and whimsical stories, including, in 1872, the first appearance of Le Fanu's "Dickon the Devil," which has an illustrated plate and a vignette illustration.
