About This Item
Faber and Faber, 1957. 1st Edition. Hardcover. VG+/VG. 1st Edition. 12.7 x 20.9 cm brown cloth with gilt stamped titles to the spine, 96pp, in unclipped dust jacket priced at 10s 6d. A very good plus copy with just a hint of dulling to the gilt on the spine and a little shelfwear along the bottom edge. Internally, there is no name inscription or bookplate and the merest hint of spotting to the edge of the text block. The dust jacket has some toning to the spine and a loss of 0.5 cm at the head and minimal loss to the corners and bottom rear joint. There is a closed 1cm tear to the front panel along the top edge. The jacket presents very well in its removable, clear protective cover (not shown). All in all a very good 1st edition copy of this the most famous play by one of the 'Angry Young Men' of 1950s theatre. Rainford & Parris Books welcomes enquiries, so please do not hesitate to ask if you require further images or have any questions. All books are packaged with great care.
