ANTOINE CHAPPIEL, printer in Paris, 1500-1504, succeeded by Guillaume Anabat, 1505–1510.
Chappiel's earliest dated book is from 1500. The Inventaire chronlogique records dated books in 1502, 1503 and 1504. From 1502 to August 1504 he printed under the sign: "Au college de Triguet en la rue Sainct Jean de Latran; - In collegio Tregorensi (or: --nuncupato de Triguet) juxta sanctum 1ohannem Lateranensem ".

In August 1504 and on a Book of Hours without date we read: " Rue de Beauvois a lenseigne des Connins; Rue de rue sainct Jehan de Beauvais a lenseigne des Congnis. "

CONDITION: Very good copy of an extremely rare book of hours printed on vellum.
