A lengthy inscription on the front endpaper. Otherwise completely clean inside and out. Text in English and Portuguese. This is the second edition of the major monograph on the Brazilian painter Lula Cardoso Ayres. Ayres began painting in the late 1920's. Preface by Gilberto Freyre. Bibliography. Interview with Lula Cardoso Ayres. 83 works illustrated with color plates. 14" high X 10" wide, 200 pages.
