Paris: J.Guerin et Nyon Fils, 1751. 49 plates, maps and tables, some foldout. Pages slightly cropped (page size 8&3/16" x 5&1/4") and rebound in quarter vellum and grey paper boards. Boards show moderate wear and soiling. Embossed label at spine has a small chip. Private library sticker removed from spine. Private library bookplate of horologist James Arthur at front endpaper. Tiny "Library New York Univ." stamp at head of title page and at end of final page. No other library markings; no library pocket. Tanned patch from rebinding at front endpaper. Dampstain fading rapidly through page 32. Mild foxing thoughout often limited to right margin. Page 21 has a 3/4" closed tear along margin. There are 6 instances of marginalia which involve correcting a word or two in the text by crossing them out. Resilient high rag paper. Sturdy binding. Text in French. 382pgs. . Hard Cover. Good+/No Jacket.
