A fine copy of this delightful correspondence between economist John Maynard Keynes and one of Diaghilev's finest ballerinas, Lydia Lopokova, Virginia Woolf's model for Lucrezia Warren Smith in Mrs. Dalloway, commencing in 1918 and ending with the last, written just before their wedding in 1925. Black cloth, gilt titles to the spine in a fine pictorial dustwrapper. 8vo. 367 pp. With black and white photographs and the publisher's Erratum slip laid-in. In her diary entry of 1940, Woolf speculated "that of all her friends, Keynes would interest posterity most.
