First Edition. 8vo. 349 pages, frontispiece plate from a painting by Hutchinson showing the .303 inch Vickers machine gun, b/w photographic illustrations throuhgout. Original dust, very scarce to find in good condition such as this one, some strengthening and repair from the reverse, some general dust staining, lightly chipped to head/tail of the spine repaired, not price-clipped, now attractively presented in a loose-fitting clear archival sleeve. Hard-back binding, very good, cloth faded on the spine. Contents clean and tight, original end-papers unmarked, no inscriptions. A very good copy with a scarce dust jacket..
