Pessel Balaban, 1889. Hardcover. Good. Holiday Jewish prayer book is dated 1889 is bound in blue velvet with bone, metal and brass. The velvet is quite worn, barely velvet anymore, spine has tearing, new hinges created using black cloth with endpapers glued in place, interior is quite tanned, fragile, chipped and torn. A beautiful prayer book from before the holocaust. Published in Lviv, Ukraine (Lemberg in German) All orders packed with care, independent bookseller since 2011
