Bound in publisher's black paper covered boards over dark blue cloth spines, with titles on upper board and spine stamped in gilt. Very Good, with rubbing to covers at extremities, worn through at tips, small scuff to rear cover. Foxing to endsheets with evidence of bookplate removal to front free endpaper, small bookseller ticket to rear paste down. Pages toned. A nice copy, lacking the dust jacket.

The poetry of Kahlil Gibran (1883 - 1931), a Lebanese-American writer, is the third best-selling in the world, after Shakespeare and Laozi. Much of his work deals with Christianity and spiritual love, and is popularly read at important events such as marriages. His work is considered a source of wisdom.
