About This Item

London: Nelson, 1973. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. First edition first printing. Hardback book is tight and clean with slight lean. Boards sharp and clean, title gilt perfect. Text block clean, with spotting to edges. Feels read. Minor bump to foot of spin. Previous booksellers pencil price to FEP, and gift inscription to half title page. Very good condition. Price clipped jacket has some crimping to top edge, and has some light toning to white areas. Grades very good. This book is fitted with a non adhesive archival quality book protector to make a quality addition to your collection. Note we do not use stock images, the book pictured is the book described. A very solid example of this fascinating title, looking at Carroll's Alice stories and his other works to illustrate the puzzles, both mathematical and logical that peppered his writings. Also examines his famous parlor tricks, many B&W illustrations from Tenniel and Carroll himself. One for the Alice collector.
