London: Renshaw and Kirkman. Hardback. Maroon leather blind embossed boards with gilt title to spine. All edges gilt. 320pp. Collection of short stories and non-fiction pieces. No date but obviously 19th century. B&w frontispiece 'The Lost Rose' - also the first story - and engravings within. Bumped at edges. Spine scuffed and worn with tiny loss at top and half inch square piece missing at bottom. Inside, 1st hinge cracked; illustrations and their respecrtive tissue guards and prelim pages have scattered foxing but text pages are unaffected. An otherwise good tight copy for its age.front board detached
