Royal 8vo gilt-stamped leather with seal of the Territory of Oklahoma in gilt on front cover. 116pp. (14pp Introduction, & then portraits). Alphabetical Index. Signature (twice) of James Hastings, an Oklahoma pioneer. Some famous portraits: David L. Payne, Temple Huston (sic), Horace Speed, & others. Condition: Back hinge broken in front of rear free e.p. Previous owner used library tape to hold the front hinge. The leather at top of spine is broken off 1"; water damage to top 1" - 2" of rear cover, with loss of about one square inch of the leather exposing the board underneath, otherwise that area unsightly. Thus a copy that could be left as is, or nicely rebound. A rare volume in any condition. Rader 3137.
