Works of various scholars on the subject of anthropology are presented in a Modern Library compilation, which has been described as the "Golden Treasury of Anthropology." Edited, with a preface and introduction, by V. F. Calverton. --- In Toledano spine 10 / rust cloth / ML hex logo blindstamped to front cover / gilt-stamped spine titling & torchbearer / grey Kent endpapers / jacket style i, verso lists ML titles, but no total number. Likely published c.1963 (though 1931 date appears in book). ML #149.2. --- A weakened front hinge has been carefully repaired on this item, with the upper right corner of the first three leaves cut away, inked name to textblock top edge and a couple of whitish spots to front cover cloth, else a clean, tightly-bound, sound copy. Unclipped ($2.45) dust jacket with slight chafing to edges, otherwise bright and protected in removable mylar wrapper.; 12mo 7" - 7-1/2" tall; xv, 879 pages .
