The great economic anthropologist examines in depth the social organization of the fishermen of the Malay Peninsula. The book includes an index of edible fishes caught, as well as a large folding map of the village layout, with gardens, orchards, and other elements of agriculture integrated into the fishermen's community space. Older bookplate removed from front endpaper, a few small pencil marginalia, otherwise generally very good in green cloth. Lacking the dust jacket.
