Inscribed by the author on the title page in his characteristic block signature. Book is unmarked. Book Condition: Good; text block is taped to back of hard boards; one page was loose in the center and taped into place; wear to corners with intact spine. Rear half of DJ is laid in text. Red tinted edges. Unpaginated. Male Call is a cartoon series featuring Miss Lace, the WWII GI's own chick. Created by a civilian for use in over 2000 camp newspapers it was never released to civilian publications. Notable for the realistic depiction of soldiers. This is a compilation of 112 GI comic strips published during the war. A clean and presentable but fragile book rare due to the autograph.
