About This Item
Garden City, NY: Doubleday, Doran & Company, 1932. First Edition . Hardcover. #73 of 476 copies printed, very good lacking a dust jacket. The green cloth is a little soiled, and the spine is darkened. There is a dampstain along the bottom edges of the boards and spine, but the interior pages (with the exception of the endpapers) show no sign of dampstaining. There is a tiny pinhole through the front board at about the middle, and evident on about the first five of six pages of the book. Errata page tipped in at front; includes 85 plates and 316 pages. This book was published from an original manuscript dated 1822 in Beau Brummell's hand, and this limited edition is the first publication of that manuscript
