In his fictionalization of small town life, he has been compared to Faulkner. Narayan was a leading author of early Indian literature in English along with Mulk Raj Anand and Raja Rao. <br /> <br /> Malgundi Days is a collection of short stories set in the South Indian village of Malgundi. It was first published in 1942 by India Thought Publications.<br /> <br /> EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION in all respects. No previous owner or remainder marks.
