In publisher's original mint green cloth boards and original grey top-stained page edges, stamped in dark brown leaf design on spine and type of cover. Appears barely read, pages are clean and binding tight. Dust Jacket condition: Good / Fair. Intact with original price of $2.50, chips to extremities, slightly sunned spine with one inch chip to lower spine, two by one inch chip to rear cover, one inch chip to edge on front cover, neat tape behind jacket to first flap, scarce DJ in any condition. DJ in professional collector Brodart mylar sleeve. Comedy about a fictional resort in remote Africa, from the same author of the 1936 novel South Riding. With dedication page to writer, feminist, nurse and journalist, Vera Mary Brittain. Beautiful Art Deco illustrations on dust jacket, cast of characters on front inner flap and reviewer blurbs on rear inner flap. Classic 1930's comedy fiction from one of the earliest British female authors, collectible. 393 pgs. 8vo.
