A humorous look at life and society in Paris during the brief period Napoleon's was on Elba. 'Who the author was is doubtful; but the writer [Henry Sotheran] has hear d his father say that he was one Benjamin Rotch, a Middlesex Magi strate' (from the preface). No. 250 of 250 numbered copies, signe d by H.C.Millard, Secy. Front cover stained and soiled, lesser di scoloration to back cover, spine toned. Otherwise very good with text block clean and tight. . wn of J.B. Findlay [1904-1973], a noted historian and collector o f magic. Findlay had over 6,000 books and pamphlets in his collec tion and was editor of the Scottish Conjurers Association officia l magazine, The Thistle. .
