Paperback thick trade, very good condition, corner rear cover creased, pages lightly toned as common, bottom edge lightly rubbed. 682 pp. An abridged version of Manning Clark's 6-volume history, initiated in 1962 and completed 25 years later (white Australian history from 1788 to the beginning of WW2). This edition contains a coda that takes us through the war years and the turbulent years that followed as Australia loosened its ties to the Empire, and discovered a modern multicultural identity. Edited by Michael Cathcart.
