Scarce printing of Jane Austen's Mansfield Park in two volumes, undated but circa 1900, with colour plates by H. M. Brock, with 1898 copyright date on some color plates in each book.' Beacon Edition' at base of spines and Colonial Press on title pages. 8x 5 1/2". Tissue guards present with fontice and illustrations. Top page edges gilt; remainder untrimmed with some uncut pages in each volume. Qt leather spines and corners over marbled paper boards. Original blue leather on boards however spines now look brown. Bindings are tight and straight. Free of former owner writing or bookplates. Gilt designs and lettering on spines have modest wear however the spines have wear around crown of vol 2 and vol 1 has chipping amostly lower half long with some shelf rub to edges. Volume two has dime size surface chip to lower rear corner. Scarce. (This set is in our possession.
