Frontispiece and 3 plate leaves included within the pagination. 10 illustrations in total, not counting the illustrations on the covers. Card boards with colour paper illustration (Mitre Peak and Beech forest) on front board. Rectangular vignette illustration with white border on rear board. Page dimensions: 211 x 132mm. This edition has the text expanded, and additional illustrations, compared with the shorter version with the same title from the Raupo series of school readers [Bagnall R1]
