A sweet little story about Mariette illustrated by Henry Somm in the form of vignettes and decorations which surround the print block on each page. The illustrations are pinted in brown ink and the text in black. The border around the title page is printed in full color. Bound in full blue leather with gilt title and tiny illustration of a ballerina to spine. Browning to spine, light fading to top edges of boards, small scuff to front cover, and minor wear to edges. Clean, bright interior with charming illustrations on each page. Brown floral patterened endpages with small bookplate of A.Van Der Poel. 36 pages. FRE/053111.
