About This Item
True UK 1st Edition / 1st Printing. Illustrated with monochome frontispice and photographic plates (all collated and present). Very Good condition, with no inscriptions. In original dustwrapper which is price-clipped, with edge chips/tears and loss of upper half of spine panel (hence 'Fair' condition). The dustwrapper is now protected in a non-adhesive, acid-free, transparent Melinex protector (which could be easily removed if so desired).
Particularly scarce true UK 1st Edition in original dustwrapper (this 1st Printing has brick red boards, silver lettering and lacked a price to the dustwrapper spine panel - later printings are bound in orange boards with black lettering to the spine and some have a 3/6 price overprint to the dustwrapper spine).
