About This Item

Toronto: PMA Books, 1980. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. Wilson, J. Douglas [photographs]. 10" x 8.5" Oblong. Full red cloth. ix, 164 pp. B&W photos in-text. Some minor bumping to spine ends, else fine. Chafing to dust jacket, some bumps and creases to extremities, 1" tear to foot at rear, age toning to edges of flaps. This book traces the long, rich history of the public market from its origins about 6000 years ago to its present renaissance. It focuses on Canada's market history, one which, though relatively brief, is as varied and lively as might be expected in a country with such diversity.
