London: John Sharpe, 1809. Early Illustrated. Full Leather. Good. 28 x 22cm. Quarto. (12) 377pp cxxvi. Bound in full leather, gilt decorations. Five raised bands to spine. Front outer hinge cracked but holding. Marble endpapers. Early illustrated edition with engravings by Richard Westall. It appears to use leaves of the first edition with 6 plates and an engraved title page by Westall interspersed. Following the engraved title page is a title page identical to the true first edition. Page xvii, line 5 of the notes reads "First lerges" rather than "derges", consistant with first editions. Bookplate on front fixed endpaper, previous owner's name on second endpaper.
