S.W.Partridge & Co. ; 1898. Hardcover, no dust jacket. Red cloth covered boards with gilt lettering to the front and spine. Black illustration to front. Corners are bumped and rubbed. Front board cloth is a little wrinkled to bottom. Marks to front. Shelf wear evident to top and base of spine. Decorative end papers, front hinge loose with netting showing through. Presentation plate to inside front board dated 1900. Black and white picture depicting ' March of an Army of Foraging Ants' opposite title page. Pages yellowed and darker at edges.
