Pamela Lyndon Travers, OBE born Helen Lyndon Goff; Queenland, 1899 - 1996) was an Australian-born writer who spent most of her career in England. She is best known for the Mary Poppins series of children's books, which feature the magical nanny Mary Poppins. In 1933, she began writing the novel Mary Poppins, the first of eight Poppins books. Series formed the basis for Walt Disney's famous screen adaptation. EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION internally & externally! No remainder markings.
